Andrés Rubio is a finance professional with over 18 years of principal investing experience across Asia, Europe and the U.S. and over $2.5 billion of equity invested.  

He is currently the founding partner of IMAN Capital Partners Ltd., a United Kingdom-based distressed / special situations investment services firm.  He is currently a Board Member of Intrum AB (Intrum:SS), Advisory Board Member for Essex Lake Group and is an independent member of the investment committee of Quarza Inversiones (Spain).

Most recently, Andrés served as senior Partner in Apollo’s European Principal Finance business and member of the management committee of Apollo Management International LLP from 2011 to 2018.  He was Chairman of the Board of Altamira Asset Management S.L., Vice Chairman of EVO Banco S.A. and board member Avant Tarjeta EFC, S.A.L. from 2013 to 2018.  

Prior to Apollo, Andrés held a variety of principal investment positions in Asia, Europe and the United States including: (i) advisor and investment committee member for Globalist Capital Management; (ii) Managing director and Head of EMEA for Morgan Stanley Principal Investments; (iii) Managing Director for Cerberus Japan KK; and (iv) a senior mergers and acquisitions professional for Morgan Stanley based in New York and Tokyo.

Andrés is a dual citizen of the United States and Spain.  He speaks fluent English and Spanish and is proficient in Japanese.  He has a BS from Georgetown University’s school of Foreign Service and lives in London with his wife, four children and dog - Cooper.
